Food Service for Remote Students

During this challenging time, the District is partnering with Aramark to support families for all students (grades 1-12) who are currently enrolled in remote learning. Beginning on Tuesday, August 24th, meals will be available to pick-up at the High School. To limit frequent trips to campus for families, meal pick-ups will take place from 12-12:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursdays with enough food being provided for the non-pick up days. This service will continue for the duration of the 2021-2022 school year.

To avoid food waste, we ask that any family who plans to use this service please complete the attached form. In addition, any family that would like to enroll in the Free & Reduced program may contact Mrs. Chelsey Holloway at [email protected] or 724-941-6251 x 7209 for information on how to apply for support for any child living in the home under the age of 18.

Please note menu items will vary and may not follow the published school menus.

Following the USDA announcement offering free lunches through the end of the 2021-2022 school year, families of any child under the age of 18 who does not attend school or eat lunch at school (kindergarten) may use the form for remote students to request the meals. Pick up will take place at the High School following the schedule detailed above.

MySchoolBucks- Point of Sale Service in Cafeteria

Peters Township has partnered with MySchoolBucks Point of Service System to provide accurate online school meal accounts. You can visit www.MySchoolBucks.com and simply follow the instructions to create your account. Please note that you will need your child's school ID# to create the account. This may be found in PowerSchool (it is listed above the Bus Info tab in the left navigation.)

We strongly encourage parents to sign up for email and text alerts for low balances that are offered via the MySchoolBucks website.  These alerts are not automatic and must be created in your individual online lunch account. Parents will continue to be notified via our automated calling and email system regarding accounts that are more than $7 deficient.

Due to changes in the law, our Food Service staff is no longer permitted to provide courtesy reminders to your child that their account balance in getting low. Under the new law, this communication can only be given to parents.

Students with Food-Based Allergies

In conjunction with the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, the Peters Township School District Food Service Department is required to obtain a physician signed form for all students with food-based allergies. The new form will ensure that your child’s allergy needs are recorded and on file with the Food Service Department. Please note that this form is in addition to the medication form that you may have completed if you child has an epi-pen or other medication in the school nurse’s office.

The completed form should be returned to the Food Service Department in the District Administration Building at 631 East McMurray Road, McMurray, PA 15317. Completed forms may also be faxed to 724-941-6565. The form can be downloaded below.
