The Peters Township School District supports those high
school students seeking to develop specific skills through vocational
education training. Students can take advantage of local career and
vocational counseling or seek admission to the local vocational
education high school. A member of the Board of School Directors
represents the District at the vocational education school. Visit School Board Committees
Vocational Career Counseling
Vocational Career Counseling at the high school level is
available through the Counseling Office, the Career Resource Center, and
special events and programs offered throughout the school year.
Announcements about special programs and events related to vocational
education opportunities are posted on the High School web site or can be
obtained through the High School Guidance Office.
Western Area Career and Technology Center

The Western Area Career and Technology Center (WACTC)
provides High School students with the opportunity to explore a variety
of trade and service careers in an educational setting. Students who
enroll at WACTC complete the core curriculum at PTHS that is required
for graduation. The remaining portion of the day is scheduled at the
vocational / technical school where students may elect to study any of
the available vocations and programs.
Transportation to the Western Area Career and Technology
Center is provided by the Peters Township School District. Courses
completed at WACTC include English, Science and Math and count as credit
toward graduation. High School Guidance Counselors can provide more
information about WACTC and arrange visits for interested students.
