Profile
Each day, we welcome more than 4,000 students to School in Peters Township. Success in our school is measured not only by our stringent academic standards, but by our character as well. In the past six years, Pleasant Valley Elementary School and Peters Township Middle School have been recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools by the U.S. Department of Education and the District received the distinction of being named a National School District of Character by the Character Education Partnership.
In their 2019 annual ranking of schools in our region, the Pittsburgh Business Times has ranked Peters Township 8th overall among the 500 districts across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and 5th among the 104 district in our region based on three years of test scores. In 2019, all grade levels ranked in the survey (grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 11) ranked in the top 10 in our region.
