Below are answers to some frequently asked questions regarding Securly:
Q. Do I have to use the app to see my child's activity?
A. No, a weekly report will come to your email with a summary of the week's online activity for you to review. Reports will not be sent when a student has no activity during the period of time. (This sometimes happens with our younger elementary students.)
Q. Can I turn off my child's access?
A. While they are not in school, you have access to pause or turn off access. When your child returns to school access will resume under District parameters. Please refer to the App Walkthrough under Helpful Links for more details.
Q. On the Activity Feed in the app, what do the green and red symbols mean?
A. Sites that your child was able to successfully access will have a green check mark in the upper right corner of the Activity Feed. Sites that they attempted to access, but were denied will have a red circle with a line through it.
Q. Will Securly record activity on our personal devices?
A. No, Securly is only tied to a child's District account.
Q. Who has access to the student activity and reports?
A. Access is given to anyone indicated as having custody of a student in our student database.
Q. I have multiple children. How do I know which item in the Activity Feed or Tab belongs to which child?
A. The child’s email address is listed beside each item in the Activity Feed and is in chronological order. To view each child’s activity, click on the drop-down menu, “All Activities” and select the child you want to view.
Q. I did not receive an email to create the account from Securly, what should I do now?
