About Us
The Peters Township School District provides guidance counselors at all levels. Counseling services address academic, social, emotional and / or vocational issues with students and their families. In addition, the counselors strive to assist each student in adjusting to his / her environment and to aid in solving problems. Parental involvement is encouraged, with conferences scheduled as needed.
In addition to Counseling Services, the District provides support through Intermediate Unit 1 and other contracted agencies for students as needed. These services include an intervention specialist and social workers. School psychologists are available through the Intermediate Unit 1 and independent contractors as well.
Counseling Curriculum
Each level in the district has a written, articulated guidance curriculum. Academic, career, and social development are addressed throughout the school year. Specific programs such as PATHS and Gateways have been included.
