Parents of students who will not be using District transportation should review the procedures below. Whether your child is a daily or occasional car rider, we ask that you adhere to these guidelines for the safety of students and staff during arrival and dismissal process.
Morning Arrival
- Car riders will enter at Door #6 and enter the building through the hallway near Art Room.
- Morning arrival may begin at 8:45 a.m. for car riders at Door #6. The main entrance will no longer be a holding place for students arriving early. Please note that no one will be allowed in before 8:45 a.m.
- No traffic will be permitted in the circle or in front of the building between 8:45 and 8:55 A.M.
- Please don’t drop students off in other locations.
If there is a line causing the main driveway to be blocked when pulling into the car rider parking lot, please continue past the lot entrance and drive around the traffic circle around the flagpole. Following this pattern will help keep the traffic flowing and ensure the safe and timely drop-off of those students riding buses.
Please be aware of the buses, walkers, and other vehicles as you drop your student at Door 6. Please do your very best to ensure that your child(ren) have their school supplies ready so that they can quickly exit your vehicle.
Lastly, please be sure to follow the direction of the Police Officer or School Staff on duty supervising arrival.
Afternoon Dismissal
- Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:30 p.m. Students who are car riders will be dismissed from their classrooms before the bus riders to exit #6.
- Parents should park in the side parking lot and meet their child(ren) at exit #6.
- If you unable to find a parking space in the lot, please pull around to the stop sign at the exit of our parking lot and park along the right side of the lot so that cars may still exit the lot. This may results in a few cars being blocked for a short time (between 5-7 minutes), but will create a safer condition and allow traffic to flow out of the lot.
- Please see the image above for specific locations.
Thank you for your cooperation.
