in-person on a 2-hour delay with a modified kindergarten schedule.

We are excited to welcome your child to Peters Township!

Children must be five years old on or before September 1 to enter kindergarten in our schools. If your child will not be five years old by September 1, and you wish to explore early entry, please contact the building principal to review early entry criteria.
 
Below is a step by step guide for registering your child for kindergarten in Peters Township Schools:

Please note that kindergarten registration is NOT OPEN for the 2025-2026 school year. Please check back soon for more details. In the meantime, please review the checklist below and start preparing the documents you will need.

Note that any online forms completed prior to the opening of the portal will be discarded.

Step One:

To get started, the District requires the following information to complete your child’s registration.  Please begin by gathering the requested forms listed below.  
  • Proof of your child’s age
  • Verification of residency (3 forms as outlined on the checklist)
  • A copy of your child’s YTD Immunizations as required by law
Please refer to the registration checklist below for more details as well as examples of acceptable documentation. 

Step Two:

The District also requires that a health packet is completed for each child. The packet consists of three items that must be returned:
  1. A completed physical examination form (form provided, must be completed by your physician).
  2. A completed dental examination form (form provided, must be completed by your dentist).
  3. A completed Medical History form (form provided, may be completed by the parent). 
Medical and Dental forms must be dated no earlier than July 1, 2024. If your child’s most recent dental and/or physical exam was prior to the date above, but you are not able to complete the exam(s) prior to registration, please submit the forms as soon as they are available to your school nurse.

Completed documents may be scanned and uploaded through the online registration portal (See Step 3). Hard copies will also be accepted at registration.

Step Three:

Complete the online registration forms for your child. Using the portal, parents also have the option of uploading a scanned copy of their competed medical forms or proof of residency. If able, please scan the documents as part of your child’s registration. Once you have completed your child’s online form, information will be shared regarding scheduling a Kindergarten Registration Appointment at your schools to review your application for any missing documents and learn more about the next steps. 
The Kindergarten Registration Portal is now open. Please click the link below to begin the online registration process.

Step Four:

Plan on attending one of the on-site registration sessions at your child's school. The online packet should be complete prior to attending the session. Please remember to bring your proof of age, residency and health packet information in the event that you were not able to upload the documents into the online portal. Your child should attend this meeting with you as there will be a student screening during the visit.

Registration appointment scheduling will take place via the PowerSchool Registration portal. This new process will streamline the registration process and limit wait times. Please note that the date/time of your session DOES NOT impact the decision between AM/PM kindergarten in any way. 
 
Bower Hill Parents: Registration Appointments will be available on the following dates/times at Bower Hill:
  • March 12, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • March 13, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Bower Hill Orientation: May 8, 2025 Last Names A-L from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and Last Names M-Z from 2-3 p.m.

Pleasant Valley Parents: Registration Appointments will be available on the following dates/times at Pleasant Valley:
  • March 19, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., and 5-7 p.m.
  • March 20, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. 
Pleasant Valley Orientation: May 12, 2025 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.

Proof of Residency for Registration

Please note that District policy requires that parents provide three items as proof of residency upon registration. Please refer to District Policy 200.1 for details on acceptable documents.
