Career Chats at PTMS

A person at a crossroads looking at different career pathsEach school year, Peters Township Middle School offers students in 7th and 8th grade the opportunity to learn more about different careers. The Career Chats are held during homeroom on select dates throughout the fall and early winter.

The purpose of the Career Chats program is to help create an awareness about different careers as they relate to student interest and abilities, as well as how different careers are related to each other. Over the course of their two years at the middle school, students will have the opportunity to attend 16 chats, one from each of the 16 career clusters. Career Chats are given by professionals who work in those fields.

How can students sign up to attend?
Upcoming Career Chats are advertised through the morning announcements. Students will have the opportunity to choose which chats they are interested in attending by signing up in homeroom. They may  stop by the counseling office and sign up there as well.
