Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement (AP) is a program from the College Board that allows students across the country to take college-level courses and exams, and to earn college credit or placement while still in high school.
 
At Peters Township High School we offer 21 AP Courses:

• Skill-Based Courses: Computer Science A, Computer Science Principles, English Language, English Literature, Music Theory, Statistics
• Content-Based Courses: Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Envrionmental Science, European History, French, German, Economics, Physics C, Physics I, Psychology, Spanish, U.S. Government and Politics, U.S. History

PTHS has a strong history of success in our AP curriculum, with 91% of students averaging a score of 3 or higher on their exams. Our teachers have a wealth of experience teaching these courses, with three teachers serving as AP Scorers and one as an AP Table Leader.
