Summer Gym

 
Peters Township High School is offering a Summer Physical Education course for our students entering grades 9-12. Registration will open on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 9:00 am.  Please note that courses may be capped due to enrollment limits.  All registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost of the course is $240.00.  Checks can be made out to Peters Township School District.  This year we will be offering both remote and in-person sessions.  Please note that courses may be capped due to enrollment limits.  All registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Please note, there will be no make-up dates offered or switches between sessions.  To receive credit, attendance for all dates in mandatory.  Remote sessions will require regular online face-ro-face meetings with the instructor each day.  In-person sessions will require attendance at all eight days on campus.
 
Please download the forms below for complete details including session dates and payment information.  In-person students will report to the PTHS gymnasium on the first day of their respective session. Remote students will receive instruction via Canvas.

Session 1 (In-Person): June 15-18 and June 21-24; 8:00 am-11:45 am
Session 1R (Remote): June 15-18 and June 21-24; 8:00 am-11:45 am
Session 2 (In-Person): June 15-18 and June 21-24; 12:00 pm-3:45 pm
Session 2R (Remote): June 15-18 and June 21-24; 12:00 pm-3:45 pm
Session 3 (In-Person): June 28-July 1 and July 6-July 9; 8:00 am-11:45 pm 

In-person students will participate in indoor and outdoor activities, including pickleball, ping-pong, ultimate frisbee or football, gatorball, kickball, and volleyball.  Remote students will participate in various workouts, including cardio, flexibility, muscular endurance, and complete at-home presentations.  Video sessions covering first aid techniques, concussions, nutrition, and other health topics will also be part of the curriculum.  Swimming will not be offered.  Students must wear proper gym attire (t-shirt and shorts, or long sleeves and pants in colder weather) at all times, although no official uniform is required.  Attendance at all classes during the selected session is mandatory to receive credit.
