NEW! 2013-2014 School Performance Profiles Available
Beginning in 2013, school districts across Pennsylvania will
now share student academic performance data using a School Performance Profile
(SPP). While schools previously received a No Child
Left Behind designation of “adequate yearly progress”, public
schools will now receive an academic performance score.
The
School Performance Profile academic performance score is based not only on test
scores but many other factors that signal student achievement. A student growth
factor measures how well students are progressing toward proficiency in state
assessments. Also measured are graduation and attendance rates, degree of
rigorous course offerings at the secondary level.
The District has created a dedicated section of the website to share a summary of
the scores as well as additional information on how the scores are calculated
and what they mean to our parents and community.
