Nine students from Peters Township High School have been named Commended Students by in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These students are: Brendan Bell (not pictured), Jason Briegel, Paige Feltner, Maya Nagiub, Ryan Shannon, Hannah Smith, Chase Stauffer, Wyatt Tune and Scott Zhu.

These students are among 34,000 of the highest scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT in the nation and will receive a Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise. Although Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, some of these students do become candidates for Special Scholarships sponsored by corporations and businesses. In 2021, Peters Township High School had 12 commended students recognized.
