A Joint Statement on Behalf of Intermediate Unit 1 and Our Region’s 25 School Districts and Five Career/Tech Centers:
The public educators in Fayette, Greene and Washington Counties want to ensure a safe, inclusive and positive environment for our students. Our Districts are committed to schools which respect and value each student regardless of race, gender, religion or disability. Intermediate Unit 1, and the school districts in our three-county region, stand together in condemning racism and prejudice. We will strive to continue to provide equity for all students and our respective school communities.
