Administrator Earns Outstanding Young Educator Award

Peters Township High School Assistant Principal Christian Lesnett has been awarded the 2011 Distinguished Young Educator Award from PASCD (Pennsylvania Association of Curriculum and Development).

The Outstanding Young Educator Award is presented to an emerging educational leader, 39 years of age or younger, who demonstrates exemplary commitment and exceptional contribution to the profession. Nominations are reviewed on the basis of the individual’s impact on students, creativity/innovation, leadership/impact on his/her school, and contribution to the profession.  

Mr. Lesnett joined the Peters Township team in August, 2011. Prior to coming to the District, he was the Assistant Principal at North Hills Junior High School and Burgettstown Area High School. For six years, he taught social studies at Woodside High School in Virginia. Mr. Lesnett has a bachelor’s degree in History with a concentration and certification in secondary social studies education, and a master’s degree in K-12 Administration from the College of William and Mary.
