Peter Township Students Named National Merit Semifinalists
Five
students from Peters Township High School have been named semifinalists by the
National Merit Scholarship Corporation in the annual National Merit Scholarship
Program. These students are among an elite group of 16,000 students from across
the nation to earn this honor.
Seniors
Maple Chen, Carla Hoge, Matthew Perryman, Cheng Wang and Sean Yang
will
now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit
Scholarships, worth more than $36 million, that will be offered next spring.
Merit Scholar designees are selected on the basis of their skills,
accomplishments, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
