PTMS Science Students Plant Flower Memorial
On September 11, science students in Cindy Ollendyke's 8th grade class, took part in the National Day of Volunteering and Service. Her
classes planted flower bulbs and fall flowers in the garden around the flag
pole at the Middle School as their positive service on a day we remember those
who gave so much.
The garden around the
flag pole was designed and created by the Peters Twp Class of 2010 when they
were in 8th grade. It is dedicated to those in Peters Twp. Who have served in
the armed forces. There is a memorial stone at the flag pole in honor of
William Boyd Phillips, an Army PVT and 1914 graduate from Peters Twp. Who died
in 1918 while serving in WWI.
