Each year, during the week of open house at Bower Hill, the Art of Listening program takes a break from featuring the artwork, music and literature of the masters and instead features the talents of future musicians, artists, and writers.
This year, some third and second grade students recorded a song in the music room and completed an art project in the art room based upon identity and individuality. Third graders recorded a song called, "Mrs. Murphy's Chowder." The song describes a soup's ingredients that are just as eclectic as the varied interests and passions that make Bower Hill students so unique. Second graders recorded a song called, "The Cat Came Back." This song explains a cat who has the persistence to survive some rather unique situations. Second grade students develop persistence as they work to improve their skills in school each day!
