Finding Nemo – (G)

Plot Summary: A small clownfish is separated from his father, Marlin. Marlin goes in search of his son on a great odyssey, through the depths of the ocean, encountering all manner of foe. Marlin meets a friendly fish, Dory, along the way, but Dory has a very bad memory, causing them many problems.

 The Lion King – (G)

Plot Summary: Based loosely on Shakespeare's Hamlet, the young lion king watches as his uncle kills his father. This is the scene where the wildebeests run into the valley.

Plot Summary: Millions of years ago, the earth was covered in ice and different species of animals roamed the planet. In this movie, a woolly mammoth, saber-tooth tiger, and some other friends are migrating because the ice is melting.

Back to the Future – (PG)

Plot Summary: In this film, Marty McFly has accidentally been transported back to the 1950s thanks to a time machine his friend, Professor Brown, has built. He meets his parents who are in high school and are not yet a couple. After making sure his parents will meet and fall in love, he is desperate to return to his own time. The only way for Marty to get home is to use the lightning storm that is occurring.

Day After Tomorrow – (PG-13)

Plot Summary: In this film, global warming has triggered the onset of a new Ice Age. As tornadoes flatten Los Angeles, and a tsunami hits New York City, the entire Northern Hemisphere begins to freeze.

Jurassic Park – (PG-13)

Plot Summary: Scientists have constructed a prehistoric theme park. The creatures in the park manage to get loose, wreaking havoc on the guests. While the T-Rex can only see its prey when it’s moving, the dreaded raptor can see, smell, and hear their hiding targets, making them the most-feared beasts in the park.

The Sixth Sense – (PG-13)

Plot Summary: A small boy is seeing a therapist because of his hallucinations. He thinks he is seeing ghosts. As he struggles to understand his gift, he encounters another spirit in the middle of the night.

I Am Legend (PG-13)

Plot Summary: Will Smith plays a doctor who is the only human left. The rest of the population received an inoculation for cancer that backfired and turns the entire human race into zombies. For whatever reason, Will Smith was somehow immune to the cancer causing agent in the inoculation, which is why he is still human. The only companion he has left is his loyal dog. The zombies can only come out and hunt at night, which is why he is now out during the day. He has his pick of food from the supermarkets but only items that haven’t spoiled like dry goods or can goods, but if he wants fresh meat he has to hunt. The animals run freely through the city.

The Bourne Ultimatum – (PG-13)

Plot Summary: Jason Bourne is some kind of an agent suffering from amnesia. He has figured out that he is highly trained but doesn’t know who he works for or what he’s done in the past. He doesn’t know who he was before he was recruited or why he chose to be recruited.

What Lies Beneath (PG-13)

Plot Summary: A woman has been having a difficult time recovering from a very traumatic car accident. She was doing better until her daughter just recently went to college. She has reported strange happenings at home, like the TV being on after she turns it off or the front door being wide open after she is adamant that she has closed and locked it. No one believed her, and they think she’s just suffering from empty nest syndrome.

Signs – (PG-13)

Plot Summary: A father and his two children live by themselves on a farm. Since the mom passed away, the dad’s brother has come to live with them. Crop circles are appearing in their fields and the kids are convinced that it is aliens. The dad doesn’t give any credibility to this theory and is convinced it is a hoax created by some neighbors. Dad sends the uncle in to talk to the kids, but it backfires and the kids convince the uncle there are aliens. As it turns out the kids are right, and the aliens do NOT come in peace.

Plot Summary: Bella saves Edward from public ridicule during an Italian festival.

Plot Summary: The SpongeBob characters do a modern version of Edgar Allan Poe’s “Tell-Tale Heart.” Mr. Crabs give SpongeBob boots that are squeaky, so he steals them back and then confesses out of guilt.
